A Night of Intimacy, Anthems, and Unexpected Hangovers
Ahoy there, Fractures fans! We’re still buzzing with the energy from our unforgettable debut gig at East Street Tap in Brighton, UK, on Friday, 10 November. The night was a whirlwind of emotion, camaraderie, and unexpected surprises as we shared the stage with incredible acts, old and new.
The Lineup:
The venue was set ablaze with musical talent, featuring:
- Fractures
- H_ngM_n
- Making Friends
Fractures Takes the Lead:
Taking the helm as the opening act, we plunged headfirst into the night with our hearts pounding and the crowd’s anticipation reaching a crescendo. The room, packed to the brim with friends and family, created an electric atmosphere that fueled our performance. We decided to kick things off with “Shattered Glass,” the very first track we released, setting the tone for the night ahead.
Intimate Vibes in a Cozy Venue:
East Street Tap might be small, but its intimate setting worked wonders for our debut. We positioned ourselves in the back right of the room, creating an up-close-and-personal experience with the audience. Squeezing onto the stage was a challenge, but the closeness of the venue only added to the sense of intimacy and connection.
H_ngM_n’s Dirty Emo Pop Magic:
Next up were the fantastic duo from Brighton, H_ngM_n. Their dirty emo pop sound filled the room, creating an atmosphere of gritty passion. Big kudos to Chris for lending us a guitar and adding an extra layer of solidarity to the night.
Making Friends Headlines with Skate Punk Anthems:
The headliners, Making Friends, took the stage and unleashed a torrent of super-fast skate punk anthems. Songs from their latest record, “Fine Dying,” resonated the room, all bangers, we highly recommend picking up a copy here. The night reached its pinnacle with their infectious energy and anthemic tunes.
A Night of New Connections and Familiar Faces:
Our debut in the Brighton punk scene not only marked the beginning of Fractures but also forged new friendships. We were humbled to be part of such an incredible show and reunited with old friends from our previous band endeavors. The sense of community and support was palpable.
Massive shout out to:
Mel Morén and Liam Rooney for taking photos.

The Hangover Chronicles:
As the night drew to a close, the revelry continued with everyone getting delightfully inebriated to the tunes of punk and nu-metal classics spun by the house DJ. However, the morning after brought a harsh reality check—massive hangovers and the realization that all our gear was still at the venue.
Our debut gig was a rollercoaster of emotions, surprises, and newfound connections. We’re immensely grateful to everyone who made it a night to remember, and we can’t wait for the next chapter in our musical journey. Stay tuned for more punk rock adventures from Fractures!
